Lilian Kershaw

Before establishing her own consultancy, in 2004, Lilian was employed in the NHS for over 30 years, first in general management and then in Human Resources & Organisational Development (HR & OD). She was a Trust and Health Authority Director of HR & OD for a period of 16 years.

Her special interest in learning and in personal and organisational development was fuelled by a Masters in Leading Innovation and Change, which she completed in 1999. Self employment has enabled her to focus more in these areas while still working predominantly with health organisations.

Lilian obtained an Advanced Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring at the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring, and trained as a Myers Briggs practitioner. She is also accredited in the use of 360 degree appraisal tools.

Her own development reflects her passion for personal growth and she has taken this a step further by undertaking a 3 year training to qualify as a Homeopath which she completed in 2009.

Her more recent consultancy work includes coaching and facilitation of individuals, teams and groups at board, executive and senior managerial levels. She also conducts independent investigations and supports organisations in the development of organisational development strategy.

Lilian always seeks to contribute to the development of a learning culture and to encourage a coaching approach to leadership whenever it is appropriate. She assists clients to increase their self awareness, take personal responsibility and to integrate regular reflection, conscious change and learning into their daily activities. Her coaching approach and consultancy style is client-centred and flexible, always designed to build capacity and capability and promote self sufficiency.

Penny Jones

Prior to establishing Azurite Coaching, Penny ran her own restaurant in Harrogate and had over 20 years experience as a senior leader in both Local Government and the NHS, latterly as a Primary Care Trust Chief Executive. She has delivered challenging performance and financial targets and has turnaround experience as an interim Chief Executive.

She is an EMCC-accredited Master level coach with an MA (Professional Coaching) from i-coach academy and Middlesex University, and an accredited practitioner for MBTI and EQi. She now facilitates group supervision for practitioner level participants on i-coach academy programmes and offers framework and practice coaching as part of her faculty role.

Penny has developed a special interest in working with people, individually or in groups, through their life and organisational transitions. She believes that by establishing a relationship of trust and respect she can support clients who are in complex situations to work with the uncertainty and ambiguity they experience and to make their best decisions and subsequent action plans. Implicit to her approach is increasing the client’s capacity for reflecting on and learning from their experiences.

Penny is interested in supporting people to be more aware of what really matters to them and to live and work in a way that is congruent with their values. At the heart of her work is helping people in their relations with others and developing a clearer understanding of the context in which they live and work. Authentic and wise leadership are therefore significant areas of interest to her.
